The International Partnership for China's Environment (IPCE), was established by the International Fund for China's Environment (IFCE), a Washington DC, based international non-profit environmental organization. Its objective is to create and facilitate an international environmental business network linking innovative international environmental technology and expertise with business counterparts and government in China.
The IPCE acts in partnership with local private sector firms in China and abroad to improve the transfer of advanced and appropriate environmental technologies to projects and business in China seeking environmental expertise. The IPCE also acts in partnership with U.S., Chinese and foreign government agencies seeking to promote the application of and investment in environmental technologies in China.
The IPCE coordinates activities through two offices in Beijing, China and Washington, DC. These offices will coordinate communications, membership recruitment, activities planning and information distribution (newsletters). Outside of the IPCE Washington office will formalize linkages with IFCE's existing network of private industry associations such as the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and trade promotion organizations such as the U.S. Commercial Services. These organizations will cooperate with the IPCE in hosting trade facilitation for delegations from China at key environmental business exhibitions in the U.S. and in promoting IPCE-lead trade missions to China. They will also assist the IPCE in reaching an expanded group of potential private sector subscribers with it's membership promotional offer.
The IPCE draws members from the growing environmental business sector in China and associated local institutes and non-governmental organizations. In the U.S. and countries outside China, the IPCE will draw member firms from the environmental and clean energy sectors seeking to export their technology and expertise to China, and establish local joint ventures. China oriented firms throughout the world are encouraged to join in the IPCE. For further info., please check www.ifce.org/ipce or contact the IPCE at 202-822-2141 or 703-222-1280. |
